I've been meaning to make a fanfiction master list for forever. After my primary fandom, Naruto, they are sorted in alphabetical order by fandom and then, within that, some semblance of chronological order. Most link right back to this journal unless I wrote them in the beforetime. Now somebody tell me - where did all these words come from?

I'm thinking of re-upping my WoW account & d/ling Burning Crusade and maybe the other one, so, friends who play WoW, I have some questions!
A.) What UI do you recommend? Or did they finally fix things enough where we don't need any outside help?
B.) Give me a good server recommendation? Non-PVP, please.
C.) Does anybody want to get the credit from "resurrecting" me? I see that they are offering some kind of bonus for that. First commenter who answers the questions can get the credit, I suppose.
I guess that's everything!
Wait! No it isn't. I suppose I need a guild, too. taking guild rec's along with server rec's. Thanks!

WTF is this!? Not like I was expecting a paragon of feminism like Britney Spears to come out with a commercial empowering women, but please. No, not please. BITCH, please.
Lately I have become really concerned about young girls and their influences. I have a nagging feeling that I should have been concerned about this for a long time, but I didn't really have any young women in my life until recently, so the issue wasn't thrust in front of my face. I always noticed the disturbing trends in fanfics, but didn't really want to think about it as, upon realizing a story was without substance, I stopped reading. I know this has been an ongoing debate for years, but for god's sake. Whats up with the abuse? Britney Spears' soulmate likes her so he shoots her with an arrow? Sasuke likes Naruto but doesn't know how to show it so he rapes him instead? What a man of action.
I would make this a more coherent rant, but I'm working on a blog post for my freelancing blog about why reputable freelancer writers won't do your homework, (so stop asking.) And I think I need to save the vitriol for that.
But! For further reading that ties concern with young girls' influences and otaku-dom, check out this article about cell phone novels in Japan. Anybody that has ever written or read fanfiction will recognize these girls.

I miss you guys. (I know I always say that but I seriously do.) I also want to blog more. I've been feeling especially mouthy lately.
That said, I'm trying to build a professional writing career and would like to use my blog for networking purposes. Unfortunately, my sintari screenname is associated with what some unenlightened souls would call unsavory writing. What to do? What to do? As much as I love this LJ, it looks like I'm going to have to move on to another LJ screenname.
